10 Task Cards Ideas for Spanish Class

What are those?

Task cards are hands-down my favorite didactics tool. Essentially, they are small cards with a task for students to complete on each of them. It might exist a verb to conjugate, an open-ended question to answer, finding an error in a sentence and rewriting the sentence correctly, or something else. It could be a grammer point like telling time in Spanish, a verb tense like the preterite, a verb group like reflexive verbs, or vocabulary similartorso parts. Any you desire your students to review! Today I am sharing 10 of my favorite ways to use them in class. Whether you are a task carte du jour aficionado like me or new to the concept, I hope yous leave hither with some ideas!

1. WALK AND WRITE

5. MINI WHITEBOARDS

Each student needs a mini whiteboard, marking, and eraser. Inquire students questions from the task cards or place them nether a document camera. Take students write answers on their mini whiteboard and hold up. Walk around and give them a thumbs upward if correct or a unimposing head shake if incorrect. Students need to correct their answers until they get a thumbs up. Encourage students to endeavor and answer on their own, without looking at the other whiteboards. Skillful, quick formative assessment, and students LOVE writing on mini-whiteboards!

*Extension- Do this activity in small groups and designate a educatee to pb each group and inquire the questions and check answers. You lot'll need to teach expectations for the leaders about being kind with their feedback, not condescending. I love seeing how excited the leaders become to be "the instructor"!

6. EXIT TICKET

Task cards can brand a quick and easy leave ticket. Give each pupil a sticky note. Put a bill of fare under a document camera and ask students to write the answer on their sticky notes. 8. CREATE YOUR OWN

Rather than asking students to complete the tasks on a set of cards, ask them to create task cards themselves! This would make a fabulous review action at the end of a unit of measurement.
